1. Who we are

Coastal CT Insurance is a trade name of Stratfield Partners LLC, an independent insurance agency at 610 Brooklawn Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604 ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through coastalctinsurance.com and when you contact us. Insurance companies we work with have their own privacy notices, which apply once you apply for or buy a policy with them.

2. Information we collect

  • What you give us: your name, email, phone number and ZIP code; details about the boat, property or business you want to insure (such as vessel type, length, value and use); messages; and any documents you upload, such as declarations pages or survey reports.
  • Chat assistant conversations: the messages you type, any name, email or phone number you share, and the page you were on.
  • Appointment bookings: details you enter when booking a call through our scheduling provider.
  • Automatically: device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, pages visited, how you arrived at the site (including campaign tags), and interactions such as clicks on phone links or form submissions.

3. How we use it

  • To prepare quotes and help you obtain, change or service insurance coverage.
  • To contact you about your request by phone, email or text message.
  • To answer questions and help with claims.
  • To run, secure and improve the website and measure which pages and campaigns are useful.
  • To meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations that apply to insurance producers.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising. We share it only as follows:

  • Insurance companies and wholesale brokers, so they can provide quotes and issue or service your policy. Getting a quote generally requires sharing your details with one or more of them.
  • Service providers who run parts of the site for us, under contract and only for that purpose: Cloudflare (hosting, security and site performance measurement), Supabase (form and file storage), Resend (sending email notifications to our team), Google (Google Analytics, and Google Gemini to generate chat assistant replies) and Cal.com (appointment scheduling).
  • When required by law, regulation, court order or a request from an insurance regulator, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • To a successor if our agency is sold or merged, subject to this policy.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google's advertising features, ad personalisation and Google Signals are turned off. Cal.com may set its own cookies when the scheduling tool loads. You can turn analytics off at any time with , and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out.

6. Texts and calls

If you give us your phone number on a form, we may call you about your request. We text you only if you tick the optional text-message box on the form, and only about that request. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help, or ask us to stop calling. Agreeing to calls or texts is not a condition of buying insurance.

7. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and access limited to staff and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above and for the periods required by insurance record-keeping rules, then delete or de-identify it.

8. Your rights

Connecticut residents have rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act to confirm whether we process their personal data, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of its sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling. Information we hold to quote or service insurance may also be covered by state insurance privacy laws and the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which give you rights to access and correct it. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we will respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are not satisfied with the outcome you can contact the Connecticut Attorney General.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top of this page.
